Working Principle
The regenerative catalytic oxidizer system operates by drawing waste gas into the unit where it undergoes thermal oxidation and catalytic combustion. VOCs and organic pollutants are subjected to oxidation (direct combustion or thermal combustion) to break them down into CO2 and H2O. High temperatures combined with catalytic action significantly reduce the temperature (to 250–400 °C) and residence time (to 0.1–0.2 s) needed for complete oxidation, greatly improving energy efficiency. Heat energy recovered from outgoing gas is reused via ceramic packing beds and switching valves to preheat incoming gas streams, minimizing fuel consumption. This synergistic combination of regenerative heat recovery with catalytic combustion achieves high purification efficiency (>98%) with substantial energy savings and low operating costs.
